Our Story of Light and Resilience
SunRay began in 2014, in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan — a moment when Barangay Benolho needed hope, connection, and a path forward. What started as a small act of care has grown into a movement that has supported more than 600 children over 13 years through education, sports, and community empowerment.

Education remains the heart of SunRay. Through individual sponsorships and literacy programs, children who once faced unimaginable hardship now have access to learning, confidence, and new opportunities.
But SunRay’s work extends beyond the classroom. Our partnership with CSG Kapteens strengthens wellbeing, teamwork, and discipline through sport — helping young people build resilience and joy. Community empowerment is woven into everything we do, from local leadership to small entrepreneurial projects that give families a sense of ownership and pride.
Alongside this, SunRay Wearable Art transforms creativity into impact. Every artwork sold helps fund our programs, turning cultural expression into real support for children and families. Together, art and education form one shared mission: to ignite minds, uplift communities, and keep hope alive.
SunRay is more than a charity — it is a story of resilience, compassion, and the belief that opportunities are wherever the sun shines.
