SunRay Wearable Art began as a quiet act of healing is a way to stitch memory, culture, and resilience into beauty, and has grown into a movement that connects women, families, and communities through color, texture, and story. Each handcrafted piece carries lived experience and cultural identity, becoming a bridge between tradition and innovation, personal healing and community empowerment, art and education. Through exhibitions, mentorship, and workshops, SunRay Wearable Art opens creative pathways for young women while directly supporting SunRay Literacy Charity, funding education, sports, and wellbeing programs for more than 600 children over 12 years. This is art with impact and art that gives back, inspires hope, and proves that opportunities shine wherever creativity and community meet.

The Hand‑Felted Lily: A Bloom of Culture, Craft, and Community

There are artworks that simply decorate and then there are artworks that breathe. The SunRay Wearable Art Lily, hand‑felted and modeled by Ben‑Hur, belongs to the second kind.

Created through hours of slow, intentional felting, the Lily is more than a garment. It is a living story is a bloom shaped from memory, migration, and the gentle resilience of nature. Each petal, each curve, each colour was formed by hand, using traditional techniques that honour the landscapes and cultural rhythms that continue to inspire SunRay’s work.

When Ben‑Hur steps into the Lily, the artwork comes alive. His presence brings movement to the piece, the way the felted petals lift with the breeze, the way the colours shift under sunlight, the way the garment seems to grow from the earth around him. It is wearable art in its truest form: sculpture, textile, and performance woven together.

But the Lily carries another purpose.

Every SunRay Wearable Art creation supports SunRay Literacy Charity, which has helped more than 600 children over the past 13 years through education, sports, and community empowerment. The Lily is part of that story is a reminder that creativity can be a form of care, and that art can help build futures.
