Haiyan (Yolanda)Typhoon 2013

The most potent Haiyan typhoon in history hit the Philippines on November 8, 2013, a Category 5 storm which affected over 14 million people across 44 provinces (including my hometown, Benolho), resulting in many deaths and displacing millions more. The aftermath highlighted the significance of disaster preparedness, response coordination, and ongoing support to the affected province. Through selling SunRay’s artworks, the company successfully raised $3000.00 to support 6 families for house rebuilding, first aid emergencies and food groceries as the supply of fresh food was prohibited due to possible water contamination.
